These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the SignMe API, portal, and related services provided by Golden Developer Technology Systems ("Golden Developer", "we", "us").
By creating an account or making an API call, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agreed to these Terms. If you are using SignMe on behalf of a company or organisation, you represent that you have authority to bind that entity.
SignMe is an AI-powered OCR API that extracts structured data from Egyptian identity documents — National IDs, Passports, Driver Licences, and Car Licences. The service is provided as:
The service is intended for lawful, good-faith use by developers, businesses, and organisations that have a legitimate need to verify or process Egyptian identity documents.
By using SignMe, you agree to:
Each plan has defined monthly credit allowances and per-minute rate limits. Exceeding your plan's credit quota will result in API calls being rejected until the quota renews or you upgrade. Persistent abuse of rate limits may result in temporary suspension.
The following activities are strictly prohibited:
Each successful API call consumes one credit from your monthly allocation. Failed requests (e.g., invalid images, authentication errors) do not consume credits. Credits do not roll over to the following billing period unless your plan explicitly states otherwise.
All payments are processed by our payment provider. Golden Developer does not store payment card information.
You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials and API keys. You should:
Golden Developer is not responsible for losses arising from your failure to maintain adequate account security.
We target a 99.9% monthly uptime SLA for the SignMe API. However, we do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation. Planned maintenance, force majeure events, or circumstances outside our control may cause temporary unavailability.
Service status and incident history are published at our status page. For enterprise SLA agreements with financial remedies, please contact our sales team.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Golden Developer's total liability for any claim arising from your use of SignMe is limited to the fees you paid in the 3 months preceding the claim.
We are not liable for:
SignMe OCR output is provided as-is. You are responsible for validating results before using them in high-stakes decisions.
You may cancel your account at any time through the portal or by contacting support. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period. No partial refunds are issued for unused credits in the current period.
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account if you violate these Terms, engage in abusive activity, or if your account remains inactive for an extended period. We will provide reasonable notice before termination except in cases of serious abuse.
Upon termination, your API keys are revoked, your account data is scheduled for deletion (subject to retention requirements), and you lose access to the portal. Billing records are retained as required by law.
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Arab Republic of Egypt, with respect to operations and services delivered in the Egyptian market. For customers in Italy or the European Union, Italian law applies where mandated by local regulation.
We prefer to resolve disputes amicably. If a dispute cannot be resolved informally within 30 days, it shall be referred to the competent courts in Cairo, Egypt, unless otherwise agreed in writing.
